The Barracuda ROV Kit combines joystick control with Arduino programmability, sensor integration, and video-ready capability, making it a versatile platform for advanced student projects.
The Barracuda ROV Kit is a powerful learning platform that blends advanced control, programmability, and expandability into a single system. Built for up to 15 amps, this kit provides students with hands-on experience in robotics, electronics, and coding while maintaining a practical, classroom-ready design.
The control system is housed in a compact Seahorse brand protective case. The Barracuda features both analog and digital joystick inputs, providing smooth piloting of four motors. Its Arduino-based system allows for programming flexibility, enabling students to interpret sensor data, activate relays, or customize motor behavior.
Additional input points for sensors, relays, and a Bluetooth module expand the kit’s potential for creative projects. The Barracuda is also video ready, with two video input channels and convenient power outputs for monitors and cameras (sold separately). Modular connections allow compatibility between Barracuda and TriggerFish control boxes and vehicles, ensuring flexibility across different builds.
The kit includes thrusters, wiring, and the control system, while leaving the frame open for students to design with their own materials. Batteries and power supplies are not included, though adapter options are available separately.
